Hi!
I'm Mel and I have been a photographer over 20 years now.My love for photography includes: weddings, family portraits,events, etc. When I look thru my viewfinder of my canon 5D markII, I see things differently. When clients see their photo's for the first time and their faces just light up...wow! I know I've done my job! Here is the thing about that...this is my passion! I enjoy capturing that moment in time with that look, that expression that can never be duplicated. I enjoy shooting sunsets & sunrises because they are so beautiful. Photographing people is what I really enjoy doing. So many different looks, silly expressions, you name it! I don't claim to know everything about photography because it changes all the time.

I'm stopping for now and will continue with my bio later. Aloha

FEB.8,2013 MOLTEN CHOCOLATE BAKERY : Located at 5427 Ballard Ave NW Seattle,WA. Hot Cakes Molten Chocolate Cakery was founded in 2008 by Autumn Martin. The idea for the "take n bake molten chocolate cakes" came from a dessert Autumn created for a charity dinner. The cakes were so well received, the guests practically fell out of their chairs and the orders started rolling in. Autumn was working as Head Chocolatier at Theo Chocolate at the time, but decided it would be fun to start a little side business. And so Hot Cakes was born.

Sept.2, 2011 The Pacific Voyagers join Festival of the Tall Ships : The Pacific Voyagers will participate in the Festival of Sail Tall Ship parade during their stay in San Diego. As the engine of our planet, the Pacific is our breath, our life, our future. The message these voyagers carry is that we are all in one canoe, and together we have the power to shift tides. Their Vakas are docked at Shelter Island. Most of the crew will fly home and the rest will stay here for awhile. You can follow the vakas via the official voyage and project website at: www.pacificvoyagers.org and see footage from the Pacific Voyagers documentary "Our Blue Canoe".

Sept.1, 2011 Vaka Moanas Ceremony at Spanish Landing : In April 2011, seven traditional Polynesian ocean-going canoes (vakas) set sail across the Pacific Ocean on a historic expedition. The double-hulled vaka, crewed by a pan-Pacific network of Voyagers from Aotearoa (New Zealand), Cook Islands, Fiji, Samoa, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Kiribati, Vanuatu, and Tonga, will sail 15,000 nautical miles by celestial navigation propelled by the wind and sun using solar electrified motors. This journey reconnects the crews with their ancestors and their environment, while raising awareness for the issues threatening our greatest ocean...the Pacific. On Sept.1, 2011 the Pacific Voyagers arrived in San Diego, CA. They were greeted by the Kumeyaay and the Pacific Voyager Vaka Welcoming Committee of San Diego.The Kumeyaay and the indigenous people of the San Diego area and the welcoming committee is a group of Pacific Island organizations coming together as one to welcome their brothers and sisters of the sea, The Pacific Voyagers.
